In my teenage years, I had no problems showing my vulnerable side. Back in 2008-2012, a counter-movement emerged against the image of tough guys. The “Emo” was established. I wasn’t part of it but I supported the idea of sharing negative emotions. I was encouraged to show my weak side. In high school, 70% of the students were girls. So, I adapt to their lifestyle of sharing emotions. Even though I had the best requirement to deal with vulnerability, I still stumbled with it into my late 20s.
